Online Poker
As you all know, I have a love-hate relationship with online poker. A long time ago I played on Party Poker but it didn’t go great so I took about four years off. Then, about a year and a half ago, I signed up for a rakeback account on Full Tilt Poker. This means I get 27% of my fees back every month. Over the last 18 months I’ve gotten over $1,000 back so it’s been a nice bonus to keep me funded on Full Tilt.
Anyway, I’ve been exploring some other options and other sites to play on because I think Full Tilt can be a little too tough at times. There are a lot of good players on there and, while that’s helpful to improve your game, it isn’t always helpful when I’m trying to win. It seems like one of the better ways to get started on new sites is via the free poker money offers at a site like Poker Source. They let you get a totally free $100 to sign up (depends where you’re located but it’s $100 in the US) and you don’t have to deposit at all. It’s basically a freeroll to try out their software and games. I don’t see a downside so I think I’ll probably give it ago and see if I can get a bankroll going on another site.
